A. Koda-Traoré – In Memoriam

Following the tragic death of our friend and colleague, Koda Traoré, CTA will hold a memorial service in his honour, on Friday 20 January 2012 from 12:00pm to 1.30pm at Stichting Nederlands Bakkerij Centrum (NBC), Agro Business Park 75-83, Wageningen. Family members, friends, colleagues and partners will share their memories of Koda during the gathering. CTA invites people who wish to pay a last tribute to him to attend the memorial service.

Herdenking van onze dierbare overledene, Aboubacar Koda-Traoré

Naar aanleiding van het tragisch overlijden van onze dierbare collega en vriend Koda organiseert het CTA op vrijdag 20 januari 2012 van 12:00 tot 13:30 een herdenkingsbijeenkomst ter nagedachtenis aan hem. Tijdens deze bijeenkomst zullen familie, vrienden, zakenrelaties en collega’s herinneringen aan Koda delen. Het CTA nodigt iedereen die Koda de laatste eer wil bewijzen, uit om deze bijeenkomst bij te wonen.

I am deeply shaken and saddened to hear about the untimely death of our dear friend and colleague, Koda. The entire CTA community feels profound pain from the loss of such a wonderful person and caring colleague. When I last saw Koda on 21st December, he was looking forward to the birth of his child and a relaxing holiday season. He looked very happy and in good form. He was enthusiastic about the future and talked about some of the things he was planning to do. It is hard to imagine that he is no more with us.

This is a very difficult time for all of us but most importantly for Koda’s wife and children. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. We will soon organize a memorial service to mourn our loss and celebrate Koda’s life.

We thank the numerous friends and partners of CTA who have sent us messages of condolences.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear colleague and friend, Koda Traoré. Koda passed away suddenly on 1st January 2012. He was 47 years old. He is survived by his wife, Nana, and his two children, Malik and Ismael. Our thoughts are with them at this time.

CTA has set up this page to allow those who wish to share their condolences or memories of Koda.  Koda was passionate about ICTs and so, this blog is a fitting tribute to him. We will forward messages to his family. Some messages sent to CTA by email are also posted here.
